Terms & Conditions

1. General

Lessons are provided by John Crumlish School of Motoring to help learner drivers prepare for their driving test and become safe, competent drivers. By booking and attending lessons, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

2. Lesson Bookings & Payment

• Lessons must be booked in advance.
• Payment is required in advance of the lesson unless otherwise agreed.
• Block bookings must be paid in full prior to the first lesson.
• Prices may be subject to change; however, confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate.

3. Cancellation Policy

• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
• Failure to attend a scheduled lesson (no-show) will result in the full lesson fee being charged.
• In exceptional circumstances (e.g., illness or emergency), discretion may be applied at the instructor’s sole discretion.

4. Drug & Alcohol Policy

• Lessons will not proceed if a student is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• If, in the instructor’s reasonable opinion, a student is unfit to drive due to alcohol or drug use, the lesson will be cancelled immediately and the full lesson fee will be charged.
• Prescription medication that may impair driving ability must be disclosed prior to the lesson.
• Safety is paramount, and zero tolerance applies regarding illegal substances.

5. Learner Requirements

• Students must hold a valid learner permit and present it if requested.
• Students must meet all legal requirements to drive in Ireland.
• Appropriate footwear must be worn for driving lessons.

6. Use of Vehicle

• The training vehicle is fully insured for driving instruction.
• Students are responsible for any deliberate or reckless damage caused to the vehicle.
• The instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson if a student’s behaviour is unsafe.

7. Driving Tests

• Use of the instructor’s car for the driving test is at the instructor’s discretion.
• The car must not be used for test purposes if the instructor believes the student is not test-ready or safe.

8. Data Protection

Personal information collected is used solely for lesson booking, communication, and business administration purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law.

9. Liability

While every effort is made to provide safe and professional instruction, John Crumlish School of Motoring cannot be held responsible for test outcomes or for delays caused by circumstances outside of our control.

By booking and attending lessons, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
